We spotted hares around the property recently and so we tried to setup traps to catch them. We put a carrot and some cabbage leaves, hoping for quick catch. It took about 3 days and we caught a small hare!! Time for some free meat.
First we laid the tarp on the ground. Then we put a bullet through its head. Finally, we cleaned out the internal organs and skinned the hare. We tried to make rabbit pelt but failed.

| Use a sharp knife to cut a 2" hole in the stomach area. We were careful not to pierce any organ at this point. | |
| Pulled the skin away from the hole so we have more room to pull out the organs. | |
| We saved the heart and liver to eat. | |
| The rest of the organs go into waste. | |

| Here is a clearer view of separating the skin from meat. | |
| We soaked the meat in salt water overnight and then bake it.  Yum! | |
